Miss B’s Boudoir Experience

What inspired you to book your session?

I had been looking into booking a session for a while but did not find anyone that was close or that I wanted to work with.

How did you feel leading up to your session?

Like going on a blind date. Despite having phone conversations with Emma and looking at all her work from her website I was having these like butterflies in my stomach from excitement and nerves.

 How did you feel during your session?

I will say at first it is extremely awkward to walk around kind of naked with someone you barely know, but really that was all in my head I think, because Emma and the ambassador Jamee that was with her were so casual and professional that it put me at ease and allowed me to get out of my head.

How did you feel after your session?

Nervous that I was not going to look good in the photos, exhausted and hungry.

What was your favorite part about your session?

The conversation that happened during the photo shoot as well as being able to pick outfits that I felt sexy and confident in.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about doing a session? 

You will need to take the stretching seriously, it is not a joke. Get at least a little bit comfortable being in your own body. If you are not confident that is okay, but being okay with being vulnerable in the presence of others is extremely important.

A few words to describe your boudoir experience?

Empowering. I did this shoot for me as someone who has been through sexual assault, I wanted power back over my body and to see it for something other than what was done to it. This shoot has allowed me to see my body in a different more positive light.
